Russia will send federal funding to the "DPR", "LPR", Zaporizhia and Kherson regions to buy sports equipment and facilities for schools and sports institutions, according to a resolution of the Russian Cabinet of Ministers signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The document states that a total of 326.8 million rubles will go to these regions for the purchase of equipment and supplies in 2023.

"This will make it possible to form conditions for further socio-economic growth of the regions, increase the welfare of citizens and protect their rights," Russian Cabinet of Ministers website reads.

Russian fans were outraged by this waste of money. Fans compare money for sports to spending on the Wagner PMC.

"0.3% of rebel funding. Oh, sport, you are the World," they ironically commented.

Users are absolutely certain that all these funds will be stolen by officials.

"They won't even buy for 6, it'll be exactly 100% in their pockets. What the hell are shuttlecocks and racquets on a minefield for?!" - the users are surprised.

"It's hilarious to hear the wording 'new regions,' especially looking at what's happening to the old ones," fans note.
