Father of two was killed in the Luhansk region: the defender was a bodybuilder

A Ukrainian bodybuilder and father of two, Yevhen Bondarenko, was killed in action with the Russian occupiers in the Luhansk region. The junior sergeant of the National Guard of Ukraine passed away on May 1. Five days before the tragedy, he celebrated his 38th birthday.

Yevhen was born on April 25, 1985 in Dniprodzerzhynsk. In 2004, he graduated from a local industrial college. After that, he did his military service.

 

For a long time, Bondarenko worked as a taxi driver. At the same time, he devoted a lot of time to the sport he loved. Yevhen was a candidate for Master of Sports of Ukraine in bodybuilding and a sincere cheerleading fan.

The athlete did his best to support his wife Anastasia Degtyar, a young and talented coach of the Ukrainian Cheerleading Federation.

 

After Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022, Yevhen, having had experience of conscript service, stood up to defend Ukrainian soil. On February 27, 2022, the athlete joined the National Guard of Ukraine and went through many trials at the front for more than a year.

However, on May 1, during the battles with the Russian invaders in the Luhansk region, the defender from Kamianske was killed.

 

Yevhen is survived by his loving wife, daughter, son, parents and sister.

Earlier, OBOZREVATEL reported that a young athlete Viktor Domitrashchuk was holding the defence near Bakhmut and died like his father on his birthday.

The artilleryman with the call sign "Pike" met his last battle on January 8 near the town of Chasiv Yar near Bakhmut. Now the soldier is 25 years old forever... Earlier, Viktor's father was killed at the front.
