"Faster this nonsense will end": the legend of "Spartak" called on Russia to aggressive propaganda in Europe

The famous coach of Spartak Moscow, Oleg Romantsev, expressed an absurd opinion that teams from Russia will be returned to international tournaments if the aggressor country propagandizes about the development of football in Russia. The former coach of the Russian national team also called the sanctions fictitious and unfair.

Romantsev said this in an interview with Championship.com. The multiple Russian champion also spoke out against the country's withdrawal from the European Football Union (UEFA) and its move to Asia, adding that Russia should act "without humiliating itself in front of anyone."

"The national team needs to play, by all means. But, of course, without humiliating yourself in front of anyone. Since the circumstances are such, we should strive to play as much as possible. The people who came up with these sanctions will come to their senses, justice will prevail, and we must be ready for that. In no case should we sprinkle ashes on our heads. There is no need to leave Europe. We have to play wherever we can, show full stadiums on TV. They will think: wow, Russian football is alive. Maybe this nonsense will end sooner," Romantsev said.

Earlier, former Lokomotiv striker Zaza Janashia called on Russians to "tear everyone up" and criticized UEFA for banning teams from Russia from its tournaments.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Russian Football Union (RFU) Secretary General Maxim Mitrofanov accused UEFA of unfair treatment of Russia, mentioning Ukraine and Israel, and faced a response online.
