"Everyone is asking": 6-time world champion from Russian Federation complained about "tension" in the USA because of Ukrainians

Six-time world champion swimmer Yulia Yefremova admitted that she felt uncomfortable in the United States because of the presence of Ukrainians. The multiple winner of the continental European championships noted that many people, including her compatriots, wanted to know her opinion on Russia's military aggression against our country.

Yefremova said this in an interview with the propaganda news agency of Russia. The Russian swimmer, who had lived in the United States for 12 years, noted that she returned to the aggressor country in the fall because she wanted to relax, keeping silent about Russia's criminal war against Ukraine.

"There are all Russians and Ukrainians there now. When you walk along the embankment, you feel like you're in Moscow. But in reality, it's different. It was hard, even for the reason that everyone asks - everyone wants to express their opinion, to know about mine. There was a certain amount of tension, so I wanted to come back to relax - at least here they don't ask me where my accent comes from and what I think. It's easier here in this regard," the athlete said.

Earlier, five-time world synchronized swimming champion Anastasia Arkhipovska said that she avoided speaking Russian because of Ukrainians while working as a coach in Croatia .
