Maksym Maksymenko destroyed...
A fan of Dynamo Kyiv, Maksym Maksymenko, was killed in the battles with the Russian occupiers for the fortress city of Bakhmut. The soldier with the call sign "Ajax" fought as part of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was formed in the capital on the basis of the Azov Territorial Defence Unit.
Before the full-scale war, Maksymenko regularly attended Dynamo's home games and travelled to the away matches of the White and Blues for many years.

It is worth noting that the other day it was the 3rd Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces that forced the Russians to flee from Bakhmut. Ukrainian soldiers defeated two companies of the 72nd Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces. However, this cost the lives of some of our heroes, including Maksymenko.
The Commander of the Azov tactical group, Andriy Biletsky, later said that as a result of active assault operations in the Bakhmut sector, units of the 72nd Russian Brigade were defeated - the 6th and 8th companies were almost completely destroyed.

Our soldiers also defeated a Russian brigade reconnaissance unit. The so-called 3rd assault detachment of the Wagner PMC suffered heavy losses as a result of the fighting.
Biletsky noted that the offensive was conducted in a strip 3 km wide and 2.6 km deep. The entire area was completely liberated from Russian occupation forces.
