Kyiv Dynamo lost to Besiktas in the return game of the Conference League play-offs and finished their performance in the European cups. The meeting in Istanbul ended with a score of 0:1.

Besiktas seized the initiative from the first minutes, leisurely playing their attacks. The Turks kept the ball on their half of the pitch for a very long time, expecting pressure from Kyiv.

By the 20th minute, Besiktas' attacks turned into a real assault. Dangerous moments arose one after another, forcing the Ukrainian goalkeeper to work hard. The ball hit the net in one of these moments. "Dynamo sat very deep in defense, fighting off the Turks with great difficulty.

The statistics of ball possession by the middle of the half was 70%/30%.

After the timeout, which the referee gave for the players to drink water, Dynamo managed to escalate the game a bit. The Turks stopped several attacks of Lucescu's charges only at the cost of yellow cards, but it did not lead to any result.

Besiktas started the second half aggressively as well. Ukrainians stopped the fast forwards of the opponent with great difficulty and yellow card. The denouement came in the 52nd minute. Cameroon legend Vincent Aboubakar beat three Kyivians and shot accurately into the net.

After scoring a goal, the 31-year-old forward ran screaming towards the Dynamo net, for which he received a yellow card from the referee.

The spectators did not see any goals in the remaining time. Kyi's defeat left them without European cups for the first time in 18 years. The last time was in 2005/06 season, after which they were knocked out in the 2nd round of the Champions League qualification by Swiss Tune.
