Died at the front. The boxing community of Ukraine suffered a heavy loss
International boxing judge and chief boxing judge of Kyiv Elchyn Muradov, who went to the front from the first days of the full-scale invasion, was killed in the war with Russia. According to the Boxing Federation of Ukraine. Muradov was hit by enemy artillery. No other details of the tragedy were reported.
"Before the war, he did a lot for the development of Kyiv and Ukrainian boxing, and in particular for refereeing," the Boxing Federation of Ukraine's obituary on Facebook says.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, on October 8, Ukrainian boxing champion Oleksandr Chornyi from Khmelnytskyi was killed while performing a combat mission in the Zaporizhzhia sector.
A few days earlier, a boxer who fought in Azov was killed in a Grad attack. The 24-year-old athlete, who was a mortar gunner for the "Offensive Guard," fought his last battle with the Russian occupiers and saved the lives of his comrades-in-arms.
Relatives have created a petition addressed to the President of Ukraine, asking him to grant the fallen defender the title of Hero of Ukraine and to award him the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi (posthumously).
