Conference League madness: Bosnian club wins the match, making history. Video
The Bosnian football club Zrinjski set a historic record in a Conference League match against the Dutch AZ. Coach Krunoslav Rendulic's team became the first in the tournament to win after losing by three goals.
The match in Mostar ended with a score of 4-3 in favor of the home team. The Dutch easily outplayed the opponent in the first half. The guests opened the scoring in the 10th minute and doubled their lead in 20 minutes, completing the rout before the half-time whistle.
It seemed that the winner of this match was determined early. However, the Zrinjski coach managed to turn the match upside down. During the break, he brought on midfielder Zvonimir Kozulj, who became the main character of the match. It took him only 90 seconds to score a goal.
The score remained unchanged until the middle of the second half when the Bosnians scored two goals within three minutes. The denouement came in the 81st minute when Kozulj made a successful finish and brought victory to his team. The players and fans of Zrinjski showed real madness at the stadium.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Lazio Rome goalkeeper Ivan Provedel scored a goal in the 90+5th minute of the Champions League match against Atletico Madrid. It later turned out that the goalkeeper admires Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin.
