Dutch ex-footballer Tariq Ulida has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison in Spain for sexually abusing his own daughter, telegraaf.nl reports, citing a court verdict in Marbella, Spain. Ulida has previously faced Spanish justice and spent a month in prison in Madrid on suspicion of fraud.

According to the verdict of the Spanish judges, the 49-year-old Amsterdam native with Moroccan roots crawled into bed with the child in 2011 and committed sexual acts by touching the girl's private parts. In addition to his prison sentence, the former midfielder is prohibited from having any contact with his daughter. He was also deprived of the right to be in close proximity to her.
