Breaking the mold: the European champion from the Russian Federation, speaking about Ukraine, said that in America "they just don't watch TV"

Klishina spoke about life in the United States

Daria Klishina, a two-time European swimming champion, said that ordinary Americans do not seem to be following Russia's criminal war against Ukraine. The representative of the aggressor country, who has been living in the United States for a long time, added that journalists have begun to devote less time to Russian aggression.

Klishina said this in an interview with Championship.com. According to the World Cup medalist, many Americans, unlike the vast majority of Russians, do not watch TV, and they can find the information they need online.

"Ordinary people who are not connected in any way with politics or television as a place to follow the news do not even know any details in principle. They have heard that something is happening, that there is a special military operation (as the Russian Federation shamefully calls the war in Ukraine - ed.), but they know nothing more about it. Now in America, it is not as actively covered on television as it was at first. There is less attention to the topic in the news. And many people just don't watch TV. You can find a lot of information on the Internet. At first, there was a lot of Russia on TV, 100% for six months. Now it's less," Klishyna said.

Earlier, two-time Olympic swimming champion Yevgeny Rylov said he did not agree to participate in the 2024 Games in Paris under a neutral flag and without the national anthem.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Anton Igoshin, a mixed martial arts fighter and master of sports from Kherson, was killed in the war with the Russian occupiers.
