"Bastard!": sport legend makes Russian Olympic champion hysterical for supporting Ukraine

Olympic champion Alexander Kozhevnikov has once again spoken insultingly about legendary Czech hockey player Dominik Hasek. The Russian was outraged that the two-time Stanley Cup winner supported Ukraine and accused the aggressor country of killing civilians.

Kozhevnikov said this in a commentary to Sport-Express. The former hockey player, who won gold at the Sarajevo '84 and Calgary '88 Games, admitted that he would like to talk to Hasek in person and find out why he does not support Russia's criminal war against Ukraine.

"Bastard! I remember him running after our players at a tournament in Switzerland. He wanted to talk to us and sit at the same table with us. Later, he played with Russians in Buffalo and Detroit. There were no disputes, no conflicts. By the end of his career, he signed a contract with Spartak. I was fascinated by Moscow and the Russian mentality. He seemed like a normal guy. Suddenly, Hasek had a breakdown. Either he went to training without a helmet and the puck hit him in the forehead or he got hit in the head somewhere else. But he man clearly problems, regarding his age. He's talking nonsense!" Kozhevnikov said.

Earlier, Hasek called on the National Hockey League (NHL) to pay Ukraine some of its revenue due to the participation of Russian athletes in the tournament. In addition, the Czech thanked Ukrainians for "defending not only their country but also the freedom of the world." He also admitted that he is inspired by the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who are confident in their victory over the Russian aggressors.
