A fan of the Hungarian national ice hockey team was forced to take off his T-shirt with the inscription "Russia" during the World Cup, which is currently taking place in Riga, Latvia, and Tampere, Finland. The incident occurred during a group stage match in which the national team of Ukraine's neighbours played the Swedes, causing hysteria in the State Duma.

"The white T-shirt said 'Russia', but there was no team logo on it," Ville Ketonen, the tournament's security manager, told the propaganda news agency R-Sport. The tournament organisers called on the fan to take off his shirt. He did so and then continued watching the match.

Russian MP Dmitry Svishchev, in a commentary to the RB Sport portal, literally went ballistic over the situation. He urged the Hungarian hockey fan to sue the World Cup organisers, calling the steward's actions Russophobia and madness.

"Some Russophobic sentiments are already reaching the point of insanity. Of course, such things are unacceptable. This fan can actually sue and punish the organisers who forced him to take off his shirt. Moreover, this is a fan of the Hungarian national team, and if he put on a T-shirt with the inscription "Russia", it is his own business. If we are also advised on what shirts and shirts to wear, we can go crazy. Such things should be challenged and the organisers punished," the official said.

It should be noted that before the start of the World Championship, the organisers announced that the flags of Russia and Belarus were banned from the arenas in Riga and Tampere.
