"Are you stupid?" Former world champion from Russia is angry about the European Figure Skating Championships, which supported Ukraine

The first Russian world champion in women's singles skating, Maria Butyrskaya, was outraged by the results of the 2024 European Championships. The former athlete threw a tantrum because Belgian Luna Hendricks won the gold medal, rather than Anastasia Gubanova, a representative of Georgia and a native of Togliatti.

Butyrskaya said this in a commentary to the propaganda publication Sport-Express. The three-time European champion also tried to humiliate Georgia, noting that the country had nothing to do with Gubanova's performance at the continental championships, where she won silver.

"When a person doesn't finish a half-turn on a triple bow, and you can see it with the naked eye... And Hendricks counts it as a clean jump. I have questions. Are you stupid, stupid? Or are you blind? You're judges, you have to give all the athletes a fair look. I don't remember ever being so blatantly underestimated. Yes, Gubanova was a Russian girl, but now she plays for Georgia. Georgia has nothing to do with it. Moreover, Nastya skated cleanly and accurately," Butyrskaya said.

Earlier, Russian propagandists were completely embarrassed at the World Figure Skating Championships in Lithuania. In addition, fans shouted "Glory to Ukraine" at the tournament.
