Former Shakhtar defender Yaroslav Rakitsky visited Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast, noting that the city is part of Ukraine. His post "blew up" the fifth point among Russian netizens.

Rakitsky wrote on his account: "Pokrovsk is our city. This is our Ukraine," attaching photos from the frontline region. The footballer's words provoked a real hysteria among Russians, who began to leave offensive comments, claiming that the whole of Ukraine is "Russian land."

Many commentators threatened Rakitsky and shouted that the city would soon be "liberated".

"Explain to this cripple that all of Ukraine is Russian land," "Your countrymen are waiting for you, Yarik, to behead you, Yuda," the residents of the 404 country are spewing bile.

Active fighting in the area of Pokrovsk has been going on for six months, and the front line is only a few kilometers away.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, as of January 14, the Russian occupation army continues to carry out assault operations in eastern Ukraine in an attempt to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense and seize new territories.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy advanced toward the district center. Geolocation footage indicates that Russian troops have advanced to the southwestern outskirts of Zvirove (southwest of Pokrovsk).
