In March, members of the National Platform for Sports Integrity met with representatives of the Badminton Federation of Ukraine at the Olympic House. The event was devoted to the development of fair sport and combating corruption in sports competitions.

The key topics discussed by experts from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the NOC of Ukraine, and the Badminton Federation of Ukraine were the risks and problems of manipulation in national and international sports competitions, as well as the actions of the IOC and the NOC of Ukraine to prevent them.

Federation staff also shared their experience in implementing the best international practices in ensuring the integrity of sports, and representatives of the Sports Integrity Platform spoke in detail about the platform's activities and existing mechanisms for reporting manipulations.

The participants of the event agreed to cooperate in the future and hold joint information and educational events for the younger generation of badminton players.

"I am grateful to the participants for the fruitful discussion and willingness to continue working together in this area. Today, the National Platform is consistently implementing the provisions of the Macaulay Convention against the Manipulation of Sports Competitions, and such events are a great tool for turning ideas into real steps to clean up Ukrainian sport and support sports ethics," says Natalia Radchuk, Head of the Department for International Cooperation and European Integration at the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Head of the National Platform for Sports Integrity.

The Interagency Working Group "National Sports Integrity Platform" is an advisory body of the Ministry of Youth and Sports consisting of representatives of the NOCs of Ukraine, the National Police, the NACP, the CRAIL, the UAF, and gambling operators.

Last year, FAVBET became a partner of the platform. The company provides support for the platform's events and participates in the exchange of information on suspicious matches and results.

In 2023, FAVBET facilitated a meeting of the platform's specialists with representatives of sports federations, as well as the first joint event with the Ukrainian Hockey Federation. It was dedicated to the presentation of anti-corruption developments and the approval of an action plan to promote the principles of sports integrity in 2024.

FAVBET is one of the largest sponsors of national sports. The company is a partner of the Ukrainian Ice Hockey Federation and the Ukrainian Basketball Federation, as well as a number of football clubs, sponsors talented athletes, and supports the development of children's sports through the Favbet Foundation.
