11th country decides to boycott Russia after UEFA's scandalous decision

Romania has become the 11th European country to refuse to comply with the decision of the European Football Union. On September 26, UEFA decided to return Russian junior teams to international tournaments.

"The Romanian Football Federation (FRF) believes that it must be in solidarity with the spirit of the sanctions approved by European and national institutions and will not play any official or friendly matches with the national teams of the Russian Federation," the statement cited by Tribuna reads.

Earlier, 11 out of 55 UEFA members have already confirmed the boycott of Russia. In addition to Ukraine, these are Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Ireland and England.

The next UEFA Executive Committee, which will once again discuss the fate of the Russian national teams, is scheduled for October 10.
