In Prague (Czech Republic), a tram driver hit a Ukrainian man in front of a small child he was holding in his arms. The Czech said that the Ukrainian citizen "has no right" to be in the country.

The corresponding video, filmed by eyewitnesses, was posted on Telegram channels on February 28. The Prague transport company responded to the conflict, criticized the actions of its employee, and promised to investigate.

The footage posted online shows the tram driver shouting at a passenger sitting with a child in his arms.

The network notes that the conflict began because the baby was standing with his feet on the seat. Witnesses filmed the driver saying: "Get out!", claiming that the man "has no right to be in this country," and then even striking him.

"You are dirtying the tram, do you understand? Get out now! We'll talk to the police... Thank the gentleman... We're not going anywhere because of him... You're holding up the whole tram. Get off, I said, get off. This is a violation of the rules of using the tram... I'm calm!" the driver shouted.

He also turned indignantly to the passengers who were recording everything on camera, although no one present intervened in the dispute.

A woman with a stroller was standing next to the man and the baby. As a result, they got out of the vehicle.

"According to the child's father, that day the grandparents were accompanying their two-year-old grandson, a Czech citizen," the report said.

On February 28, the Prague Transport Company (Dopravní podnik hl. m. Prahy, DPP) said that the incident occurred on the seventh tram route in the Czech capital, and they immediately began an investigation. They recognized that the driver's actions in this traffic situation "completely contradict not only internal transportation rules but also the laws of the Czech Republic and moral standards." They also added that the Czech Prosecutor General's Office "does not and will not tolerate such behavior."

"The DPP will use all legal options to resolve the case within the framework of labor law. DPP apologizes to the passengers. The DPP provides full cooperation in the case to the authorities involved in the misdemeanor or criminal proceedings," the agency said in a statement on social media platform X.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, according to the Czech Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, the contribution of Ukrainians with temporary protection status to the economy of this country is twice as high as the assistance provided to them. During the three years of war, Ukrainian refugees contributed almost €2 billion to the Czech budget.
