Four Ukrainians were evacuated urgently from the indestructible fortress city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, for which fierce fighting with Russian occupants continues. At the same time, enemy troops insidiously covered the crews with fire and killed an elderly woman.

She died in the arms of her son. Another war crime of the aggressor state was reported by Ruslan Osipenko, head of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, reports the press service of the department (to see the video, scroll to the end of the page).

According to him, the evacuation of civilians was handled by law enforcers, military personnel, rescuers, and representatives of the regional military administration. Special forces, paramedics, and the White Angel police unit provided cover.

The building, where about 20 people were hiding from Russian shelling in the basement, is very close to the front line.

According to Osipenko, conducting such an operation was very dangerous, since the occupants were covering Bakhmut with shelling from artillery, mortars, MLRS, and other weapons. Civilians were removed from the line of operations in separate groups. Only five people who were in hiding were able to be picked up and transported out of Bakhmut. It is not known where the others are now.

At the same time, Russian occupants shelled vehicles in which they were transporting civilians. An elderly woman died in her son's arms. Four men were taken to safety.

In Bakhmut, their homes were destroyed, food supplies were running out, and they spent more than a month in hiding, according to the press service of the DNPU's Donetsk region.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, fierce fighting continues for Bakhmut. Soldiers of the AFU said that the main advantage of the enemy is the manpower, but the Ukrainian fighters outnumber the enemy qualitatively.
