On the evening of Saturday, August 31, people began to spread information about the alleged death of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov online. It should be noted that this has not yet been officially confirmed or denied.

A hint of Lavrov's death was seen in a post by Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the UN, Serhiy Kyslytsia, on X. "Some say he has already kicked the bucket, and yet ironically I wish he was alive to see him in the dock," the diplomat wrote.

Kyslytsia used the idiom "kick the bucket," which is equivalent to the word die.

"For some Russian war criminals to die in their bed in an elite suburban Landshaft community may seem to be the easiest way out. Even if they omit the dock, they will go directly to hell to burn there for eternity bypassing purgatory," the Permanent Representative added.

However, Kyslytsia cannot be considered the primary source of the rumors about Lavrov's death, as similar posts appeared on several pages online earlier.

We would also like to add that on the afternoon of August 31, Russian propaganda outlets spread Lavrov's statement that Russia would not negotiate with Ukraine over the territories in the Kursk region. He said this in an interview with RT.
