Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov posted a heartbreaking photo of a couple of young people on the street. The photo shows a young couple – a guy with a prosthetic leg and a girl with a dog – walking, holding hands.

The photo was taken by Daryna Sukhonis Filatov, a journalist from Dnipro, and reposted on his Telegram. The mayor agreed with her post: "If only love were a photograph. The world will probably never understand the realities of Ukraine today. Whoever you are, I wish your family boundless happiness."

The very next day, the "power of social media" helped Filatov track down the couple that struck him. He went to visit the young people.

"This is Nastya, Demian, and their charming six-year-old spitz Kaspik. I will not tell you the story of these people here. You just need to know that this is a worthy example of human relationships. She is a smart and beautiful girl. He is a Hero who has someone to rely on in his life," the mayor said.

He noted that everyone should understand that Ukraine needs to build a new society today that will be understanding of people with amputations.

"In which no one looks away and vice versa, no one stares. Where no one pries into each other with tactless questions and imposes their condolences (no matter how sincere they may be). Not difficult, is it?" Filatov said.
