5 children among the injured: data on the condition of the wounded as a result of the Russian missile strike on Pavlohrad

As a result of a Russian missile strike on Pavlohrad, Dnipro region, 44 people sought medical assistance. Among the injured are five children.

Most of them suffered minor injuries: concussions, bruises, contusions, fractures and poisoning from combustion products. This was reported by a correspondent of the We Are Ukraine TV channel on the air of the national telethon (to watch the video, scroll to the end).

Doctors managed to stabilise two women, aged 45 and 55, who were taken to resuscitation after the shelling, and they suffered rib fractures and head injuries. One of them has already been transferred to the trauma unit, the other is being prepared to be transferred today.

All other injured are being treated at home.

The affected children are girls aged 8 to 16, they have fractures and combustion product poisoning, and are also undergoing outpatient treatment.

Local authorities have stated that there is no chemical hazard in the town.

- Early in the morning of May 1, Russian troops launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine using cruise missiles. Air defence defences neutralised 15 out of 18 enemy targets.

- At around 04:50, the first explosions hit Kyiv. All enemy missiles and drones were shot down on their approach to the capital. There were no reports of damage or casualties.

- Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region came under attack. Initially, 34 people were reported injured. An industrial plant, dozens of residential buildings, 6 schools and kindergartens, and 5 shops were damaged.
