There will be victory! Zelensky presented state awards to the defenders of Ukraine in Kyiv. Video
President Volodymyr Zelensky presented state awards to Ukrainian defenders. The Head of State also honored the memory of the servicemen who gave their lives for the sovereignty and independence of our country.
During the ceremony, the President presented battle flags and ribbons of honorable courage to military units. This is stated on Zelensky's Telegram page (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).
The Head of State emphasized that Ukraine has historically enjoyed the greatest support from the world. The guarantor noted that despite temporary doubts, the strength of Ukrainians' desire for freedom can overcome any difficulties.
Zelensky thanked every defender who is fighting against the Russian occupiers today. The President also presented the servicemen with state awards.
"I thank everyone who strengthens the new and majestic history of freedom for Ukraine and Ukrainians, freedom for generations! And I wish all our defenders never to miss a single opportunity for Ukraine. We need to turn every opportunity into an approach to our victory - and there will be a victory!" the President of Ukraine said.
As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelensky and the military command of our country congratulated Ukrainian heroes on the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. The Head of State emphasized that our strong soldiers bring Ukraine's victory closer every day.
Earlier it was reported that in Ukraine, with the transition of the Orthodox Church to a new calendar, the Day of Defenders is now celebrated on October 1, the same day the church holiday of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary is also celebrated. This became especially valuable for Ukrainians after the full-scale Russian invasion.
