During the Russian attack on Kyiv on September 2, the building of the Islamic Cultural Center of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the mosque located there were damaged. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said afterward that Russia "despises spiritual and human values, does not respect any religion or faith."

The head of state reacted to the attack on Monday morning. On his X (Twitter) account, he showed photos of the destruction. It should be noted that the post was published in two languages: Ukrainian and English.

The aggressor state "does not stop its devastating campaign against the Ukrainian people, trying to destroy all our communities and even shrines."

In total, on the night of September 2, the Russian army fired 35 missiles, including ballistic missiles, and 23 drones at Ukraine.

"The world must see that Russia's war is not only against Ukraine, but also against humanity, dignity and human life. Such barbaric actions have no place in the modern world," Zelenskyy emphasized.
