Things are moving in the right direction in Ukraine

The vast majority of Ukrainians (86%) say they believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Also, citizens of our country are convinced that Ukraine is moving in the right direction.

This is evidenced by the results of a public opinion poll carried out by the "Rating" Group on 6-11 June 2023. "Faith in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (86%), as well as family and friends (61%) are the main factors that help respondents remain resilient during the war with Russia," the study says.

Another third of respondents said they were motivated by their daily work (31%), and almost a quarter said they found support in their faith in the state, religion or belief in God. 12% of respondents each said that participation in volunteer activities and fundraising, as well as international assistance, contribute to their resilience.

At the same time, 67% of Ukrainians believe that things in Ukraine are moving in the right direction. The opposite opinion is shared by 18%, and another 15% were not able to assess.

At the same time, the majority of respondents (58%) said they were ready to endure difficulties for several years because of the war in order to win. Another 11% said they were ready to endure for about a year, and 12% - for a few months. In general, 11% of respondents are not ready to endure hardships at all, the highest number being among the poor (23%).

The Sociological Group "Rating" conducted the research using the CATI method (telephone interview). It surveyed 1,200 respondents among the population of Ukraine aged 18 and older throughout the country, except for the temporarily occupied Crimea and Donbas, as well as areas where there was no Ukrainian mobile coverage at the time of the survey.

Earlier, it was reported that the majority of Ukrainians would not accept Russia's concessions on returning to the demarcation line by 24 February. According to the survey, the majority of Ukrainians now oppose direct negotiations with Russia to achieve peace (63.9%).

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the vast majority of Ukrainians believe that Ukraine will win the war against Russia. At the same time, there are no significant regional differences in the belief that our country will defeat the aggressor.
