In Cherkasy, doctors saved a man whose stomach contained six wrenches. They performed an operation to remove the tools and discharged him after three weeks.

The case was reported on the Facebook page of the Thoracic Surgery Department of Cherkasy Regional Hospital. Photos of the patient's X-rays and the removed instruments were also posted.

According to doctors, the man was hospitalized with neck phlegm, a purulent inflammation of soft tissue, and a tear in the esophagus at the level of the pharynx and middle third.

He was also diagnosed with total mediastinitis (inflammation of the mediastinum), pleural empyema on the right side (accumulation of pus), foreign bodies, and a prolapse of the stomach.

The doctors of the department performed a surgical operation with the imposition of a gastrostomy (an artificial opening that connects the anterior abdominal wall and the stomach) at the same time.

As a result, the doctors removed the keys and after three weeks of treatment, the patient was discharged with a full recovery.
