The majority of Ukrainians (88%) believe in victory in the war against the Russian occupiers. 45% believe that our country will eventually retain all its territories within the 1991 borders.

This is evidenced by the survey conducted by the Sociological Group Rating on behalf of the Center for Analysis and Sociological Research of the International Republican Institute (IRI) on February 17-21, 2024. Experts determined the representativeness error at the level of ±3.5% for the full sample.

When asked whether Ukraine will win the war, 88% of the country's residents said yes or rather yes. 8% do not believe in victory, and 3% could not answer the question.

The researchers also asked what Ukrainians think about the borders of our country after the end of the war.

45% said that "Ukraine will retain all its territories as they were in 1991".

16% believe that Ukraine will return the territories that were controlled before the full-scale invasion (until February 24, 2022).

16% believe that the state will lose some new territories.

7% believe that Ukraine will return Donbas, but not Crimea.

7% – that it will be possible to de-occupy Crimea, but not the so-called "DPR" and "LPR".

6% could not answer, and 2% chose the option "other".

Only 1% of Ukrainians believe that the country will be fully occupied by Russia.
