Ivan Kotsiubailo, the younger brother of the soldier, Hero of Ukraine Dmytro Kotsiubailo ("Da Vinci"), died. He was only 27 years old.
The tragedy was reported by their sister Mariana Kotsiubailo-Semenenko. On her Facebook page, she wrote that Ivan died on the morning of November 1, Dmytro Kotsiubailo's birthday. The latter also died at the front at the age of 27. He would have turned 29 in 2024.

The circumstances of Ivan's death are not disclosed.
"It is piercingly symbolic that he died at 27. It is piercingly painful that his love for his brother was boundless and now united them in another existence. As if some invisible bond united them even in death, as it did in life," Mariana wrote.

The Burshtyn City Council (Ivano-Frankivsk region) also reported the tragic news and expressed condolences to the family and friends.
"Eternal memory. May Ivan's soul find eternal peace, and may the Lord give the family strength and support in this difficult time," the press service said in a Facebook post.

To recap: Dmytro "Da Vinci" comes from the village of Zadnistrianske, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He was brought up with four sisters and a brother. Their grandmother Ivanna Vynnyk previously said that they tried to serve Da Vinci's brother with a summons four times, despite his disability and Dmytro's death in the war.
"Da Vinci" died on March 7, 2023, after being seriously wounded while defending Bakhmut in the Donetsk region from the occupiers.
He volunteered for the front in 2014 when he was only 18 years old.
