Melnyk says Ukraine needs 10 times more aid

Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Minister Andriy Melnyk said that the war in our country could end by the end of this year. To do this, we need 10 times more military assistance from our partners.

Melnyk wrote about this on Twitter. The issue was also raised in the talk show of the Suspilne TV channel "New Countdown" (to watch the video, scroll to the end).

Melnyk thanked our allies for their support, but noted that this is not enough to stop Russian aggression. He called on our partners to allocate 1% of their GDP to supply weapons to Ukraine.

"The end of the war largely depends on whether our partners will cross the last remaining red lines so as not to provoke Putin to a possible nuclear strike and other scary stories that are theoretically possible," the deputy minister said.

The main question remains whether Ukraine will be provided with long-range missiles and Western-style fighters. And it needs to be resolved now. If Ukraine receives these weapons, it will help end the war, Melnyk concluded.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, following the 11th meeting in the Ramstein format, Ukraine will receive missiles for air defence systems and other heavy weapons. The participants of the meeting on April 21 supported the decision on the relevant deliveries.
