Ukrainian authorities received a letter with a list of reforms to be implemented in order to continue receiving US aid: details

The White House in Washington sent a letter to the Prime Minister and the Office of the President of Ukraine outlining reforms that the Ukrainian authorities should implement in order to continue receiving military and other assistance from the United States. In particular, they relate to the functioning of the Supervisory Boards of state-owned enterprises, anti-corruption bodies (SAPO, NABU, NAPC), the High Council of Justice, and the judiciary in general.

This was reported by the Ukrainian media, citing their sources. Thus, all the reforms mentioned in the letter are divided by the priority of their implementation: 0-3 months, 3-6 months, one year, 18 months.

The Donor Coordination Platform also received a letter from the American partners. In his turn, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak (Golos faction) expressed the opinion that these letters are a signal not only to the Ukrainian authorities but also to all donors to Ukraine.

"This is not just the US position conveyed to Ukraine. This is a letter sent to the Donor Coordination Platform. That is, the EU, G7 countries and major international financial organizations (IMF, World Bank, EIB, EBRD, IFC). And now the next logical step will be to synchronize all the requirements in the memorandums and financing conditions," the politician wrote on his Telegram channel, concluding that Kyiv's allies are focused on the "money for reforms" formula.

The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine reported that the United States had provided a proposed list of priority reforms for discussion and feedback at the Multilateral Donor Coordination Platform for Ukraine in Brussels.

The diplomatic agency also clarified that the list was provided as a basis for consultations with the government of Ukraine and key partners in support of Ukraine and its efforts to integrate into Europe. The aim of these efforts is to prioritize and consolidate reform steps with Ukraine and key stakeholders.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, the United States has welcomed Ukraine's commitment to anti-corruption efforts even amid a serious and full-scale invasion by Russia.

The Biden administration also said that it sees "overwhelming support" for Ukraine from Congress, especially at the leadership level. They are confident that they will be able to continue to support Kyiv in its fight against a full-scale Russian invasion.
