Michal Scherba said that Ukraine must become a member of NATO

On November 25, President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Michal Szczerba addressed the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. He said that Ukraine should become a member of the Alliance and that it has 227 days before the NATO summit in Washington.

This was reported by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko. Szczerba also said that he would do everything he could to ensure that our country is supported as much as possible.

As a sign of support, he presented a NATO flag to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk. In his turn, Stefanchuk emphasized that three flags would soon be hanging in the Ukrainian parliament.

Earlier it was reported that the Speaker of the Parliament of Finland Jussi Halla-Aho spoke in Ukrainian in the Verkhovna Rada. MPs gave the politician a standing ovation.

Also on November 24, Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv. During the meeting, they discussed the defense needs of the Armed Forces, the need to strengthen air defense, and Ukraine's accession to the EU.
