President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with Donald Trump. He congratulated the Republican on his victory in the US presidential election.

Zelensky reported this on the social network X. "I congratulated him on his historic and convincing victory - this result was made possible by his impressive election campaign," the head of state wrote.

Zelensky called his conversation with Trump "wonderful." The Ukrainian president praised his family and team for their work.

"We agreed to maintain a close dialogue and develop our cooperation. Strong and unwavering U.S. leadership is vital for the world and for a just peace," the guarantor said.
