On Wednesday, December 20, work began in Kyiv to return the crosses of St. Sophia Cathedral to their historical places. Before that, they were removed for restoration.
This was reported on his Facebook page by Vadym Kyrylenko, deputy director of the National Conservation Area "St. Sophia of Kyiv". The costs were covered by the capital of Portugal.

As noted by the publication Vechirniy Kyiv, the installation of the crosses will last for three days. After Christmas, they plan to dismantle the central cross. Specialists will hold restoration councils and restore it in the same way, at the expense of patrons.
