Recently, the official Ukrainian trailer for Marvel's new film Thunderbolts , a superhero action movie about a team of misfits led by depressed hitwoman Yelena Belova, was released. The film is scheduled for release in Ukraine on May 5, 2025.

What is known about the movie "Thunderbolts"

Marvel Studios began proposing the creation of the Thunderbolts team as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) back in 2021.

The fact that the project was in development became known in June 2022, when the director of the film, Jake Schreyer (known for his movie Robot and Frank), and the screenwriter, Eric Pearson, who had previously worked with Marvel Studios, were appointed.

The producers are Kevin Feige and Scarlett Johansson, among others.

The filming began in 2023, with Utah and Atlanta (Georgia) chosen as the locations.

"Thunderbolts" is the 36th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe media franchise and part of the Fifth Phase of the MCU.

The film was originally scheduled for release on July 26, December 20, 2024, and July 25, 2025. It is now known that the screening of The Thunderbolts in cinemas, including in Ukraine, will start on May 5, 2025.

What is the movie "Thunderbirds" about?

In the movie, a team of anti-heroes goes on missions on the orders of the American government.

The concept of The Thunderbirds is reminiscent of DC's The Dirty Dozen or Suicide Squad, where a team of misfit superheroes (or villains) go on dangerous missions assigned by the government.

Who will play the main roles

Florence Pugh plays the main character, the depressed assassin Elena Belova. In addition, The Thunderbolts brings back the following famous Marvel characters to the screen:
