October brings a special atmosphere. In the cold and rainy autumn, you want to wrap yourself in a warm blanket, make a cup of tea, and enjoy watching interesting movies. If you want to feel the vibes of Halloween but don't like too gruesome movies, this selection is for you.

Netflix has released a rating of the best movies to watch before Halloween. But don't worry - these horror movies are not as scary as they might seem at first glance. They are mostly black comedies.

The Curse of Bridge Hollow

Sydney (Priah Ferguson) is furious - her parents (Kelly Rowland and Marlon Wayans) are moving away from Brooklyn to start over in a small town. Her depression takes another round as she gets to know Bridge Hollow and hears legends that her new home is haunted. Sydney accidentally releases the mischievous spirit, and now it's up to her entire family - including her science-loving, Halloween-hating dad - to save their new neighbors from killer clowns, flying witches, zombie football players, and other evil spirits. But rest assured: while the costumes and special effects are great, these monsters will make you scream with laughter, not terror.

Frankenstein's Monster's Monster, Frankenstein

The comedy lasts only 32 minutes, but it's enough to feel the Halloween atmosphere. Actor David Harbour III hopes to learn more about his father, actor David Harbour Jr. He interviews colleagues, recreates his dad's old office, and even finds lost footage of DHJ's television play Dr. Frankenstein. This leads to the discovery of some shocking family secrets.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

Forty years after the original Ghostbusters hit the big screen, the sequel is here. The world is in danger from a phantom that is causing an ice age and is about to destroy humanity. So, despite the protests of Mayor Peck (William Atherton), the newcomers (Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Fin Wolfhard, McKenna Grace) must team up with the veterans (Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts) to form a team that fights ghosts.

Hubie Halloween

Every year, Hubie Dubois (Adam Sandler), a deli worker in Salem, Massachusetts, volunteers as the official "Halloween helper." The position is dedicated to keeping the streets of Salem safe when "spooky fun gets out of hand." Unfortunately, years of faithful service have turned Hubie into the town lunatic (everyone thinks so but not the beautiful Violet Valentine, played by Julie Bowen) and a huge pain for police sergeants Downey (Kevin James) and Blake (Kenan Thompson). But this year, there is a real murder. And Hubie will not rest until all the secrets are revealed.

Orion and the Dark

In this animated adventure comedy, Orion, a boy, is afraid of everything, especially the dark. That is, until he meets the Dark, a giant black creature who is frankly tired of Orion being so afraid of him. To help Orion confront his fears and appreciate the beauty of the night, Dark invites Orion to join him on an incredible journey.

We Have a Ghost

Shortly after the Presley family moves into a new home, the youngest son Kevin (Jahi Winston) discovers a ghost in the attic. The ghost, whom Kevin calls Ernest because it's written on his shirt, doesn't remember anything about his past life, so Kevin vows to help him find answers.

Vampires vs. the Bronx

When the Murnau Properties group starts buying up all the land in Miguel Martinez's (Jaden Michael) favorite community in the Bronx, he quickly realizes that the neighborhood is in danger. The situation is complicated by the fact that the strangers are vampires. Now it's up to Miguel and his two best friends, Bobby (Gerald W. Jones III) and Luis (Gregory Diaz IV), to fight back.

I Care a Lot

Nothing screams "pure evil" like stealing money from the elderly. Marla Grayson (Rosamund Pike) and her partner make a living by convincing the legal system to grant them guardianship of the elderly. Once all the seniors are isolated in a nursing home, the two start a property and real estate scam. Everything goes according to plan until they try to pull off the scam at the expense of Jennifer Peterson (Dianne Wiest), the mother of a criminal mastermind (Peter Dinklage). Unexpected twists and turns keep you in suspense until the very last second.

Windfall

The neo-noir thriller revolves around money and is set in an orange grove. A stranger (Jason Segel) breaks into the empty country house of a tech billionaire CEO (Jesse Plemons) and his wife (Lily Collins). The plan is to live the high life for a while and then escape with a Rolex and some valuables. But everything does not go according to plan.
