Store-bought dumplings can never be compared to homemade ones. You know exactly what you put in the filling, so you can be sure of the quality of the products. However, the most important thing is to make elastic and soft dough correctly.

The idea of making the most delicious dough for homemade dumplings was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yuliia Mykulych. For the base, you need to pour milk in addition to water.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • water– 125 g
  • milk – 100 g
  • salt – 1/2 tsp
  • butter – 50 g
  • flour – 400 g

Ingredients for the filling:

  • minced meat – 500 g
  • salt, spices
  • garlic – a few cloves
  • onion – to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Combine water, milk, salt, and butter in a saucepan.

2. Put the saucepan on the stove and bring the contents to a boil.

3. Sift the flour into a deep bowl and pour the hot liquid into it.

4. First, stir the mass with a fork (because it is hot), and then knead with your hands until smooth and homogeneous.

5. If the dough is sticky, add a little more flour.

6. Put the dough in a bag and leave it on the table for 30-40 minutes.

7. For the filling, combine the minced meat with spices, grated garlic, and onion.

8. Roll out part of the dough. Leave the rest in the bag.

9. You do not need to roll out very thinly so that the dumplings do not tear during cooking. The dough should not stick, but if it does, you can add flour.

10. Roll out the dough into small pieces so that it does not dry out.

11. Use a small glass or other mold to cut out circles of dough.

12. Put the minced meat in the center of the circle and form dumplings. Add fillings to the extent necessary.

13. Then you can freeze or cook.
