The professional holiday of beekeepers in Ukraine began to be celebrated in 1997. Officially, the Day of the Beekeeper was established by Presidential Decree No. 815/97 and is celebrated annually on August 19. Experts estimate that every seventh ton of the world's honey is Ukrainian.

World Humanitarian Day was established at the initiative of the World Health Organization and other international organizations. The goal is to draw attention to the role of humanitarian workers and the need to unite to help those in difficult situations. It also honors the memory of those who have been killed or injured during humanitarian operations.

August 19 is also World Photography Day. On August 19, 1839, the French government acquired a patent for daguerreotypes, the first prototypes of photography. And on August 19, 2010, the first global online gallery was created as part of this holiday.
