A car is not only a necessity but also a long-term investment. Many cars start losing value after purchase and continue to depreciate over time.

However, some vehicles are so unique, desirable, iconic, and limited in production that they only increase in value over time. Experts told us which models would be the most promising investment.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS

With a starting price of $241,300, the 911 GT3 RS is expensive even at Porsche's standard prices. The car has 518 horsepower, a three-second acceleration and a top speed of 450 km/h.

Rob Dillan, founder of EVhype, emphasized that the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is known for its quality. This model is often sought after by collectors due to limited production.

Ferrari 488 Pista

With a maximum power output of 720 horsepower, the Ferrari 488 Pista's engine surpasses even the mighty Porsche 911 GT3 RS - and this is just one of the reasons why collectors are willing to pay huge amounts of money even for used models.

"This model is from Ferrari's special V8 series and has a solid reputation," said Dillan. The car boasts the most powerful V8 engine and is a special edition sports car with the highest level of technology.

"The 488 Pista combines advanced aerodynamics with a powerful engine, making it very popular with enthusiasts and collectors," Dillan added. According to CarBuzz, used 2020 models can be found for $500,000-900,000.

Ford GT

Ford has released the last GT car in the 2022 model year. The car will be a quality investment.

"Ford GT is a modern classic based on the legacy of Le Mans victories. This limited-production car has a history that is appreciated, especially because it taps into nostalgic and historical values," Dillon said. Designed with an aerodynamically optimal teardrop shape, the 660 horsepower Ford GT sells for an average of $500,000.

McLaren 720S

Lightweight but strong as steel, the McLaren 720S supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a staggering 2.8 seconds. These are some of the benefits of the 720 horsepower engine, top speed of 340 km/h and limited production. Another advantage is the ever-increasing resale value.

"Not all McLarens appreciate it, but the 720S stands out for its technological innovation and exceptional performance, making it a potential classic of the future," said Dillon.

The 2023 model starts at $310,500.

Aston Martin DB11 AMR

The Aston Martin DB11 AMR was produced with a standard 4-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine with 528 horsepower. The starting price is $220,086.

"A high-performance variant of the DB11, the AMR offers exclusivity and advanced specifications that could increase its value over time, especially given Aston Martin's prestigious history in the luxury car market," Dillon said.

Corvette Z06

Melanie Monsoon, an automotive industry expert at AutoInsurance, drew attention to an interesting nuance. When you are trying to determine which cars will rise in price over time, you need to pay attention to how many have rolled off the assembly lines.

"A car made 100,000 times will never be valued as much as a car made only 500 times," said Monsoon.

The secret to the high resale value of the Corvette Z06 is its uniqueness. Collectors are often looking for convertibles and manual transmissions.

"So Z06 models with such features are likely to be well appreciated," the expert summarized.
