How many points do graduates need to score to enter universities

The Ministry of Education and Science has determined the threshold score for each National multi-subject test that graduates must achieve to participate in the competitive selection process for higher education in 2025. This year's rules will be the same as last year.

This is stated in the draft Procedure for Admission to Higher Education Institutions, which the Ministry of Education and Science published for public discussion on Tuesday, November 19. To obtain a result on a scale of 100-200 points in each subject, you need to score at least 15% of the total number of test points.

Therefore, applicants who will take the NMT-2025 must score:

  • 7 points in Ukrainian language, biology, Ukrainian literature and geography;
  • 8 points - in the history of Ukraine;
  • 6 points - in chemistry;
  • 5 points in math, physics and a foreign language.

If a graduate receives a test score lower than the established threshold score in at least one NMT subject, he or she will not be eligible to participate in the 2025 admission campaign.

The competitive score for university admission can be calculated by converting the test scores obtained for each subject. To do this, you can use a table or an online calculator.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA collected information about rating, competitive, minimum and passing scores for bachelor's degree - how they differ and at what stage they occur.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the Ministry of Education and Science has determined the list of specialties for which it will be most difficult for applicants in 2025 to receive a grant for higher education under a contract.
