Ukrainians are massively abandoning the cheapest cars amid market growth

A small increase in sales in the new car market in Ukraine has caused a drop in interest in the secondary market, where buyers traditionally look for the cheapest cars. The new statistics named popular used models.

According to Ukravtoprom, the used car market was led by a used Volkswagen Golf in October. This means that the sector leader has not changed for a long time.

However, compared to September, sales statistics fell by 4%. Compared to 2023, a 23% decrease was recorded.

The most popular used cars in Ukraine (October 2024):

1. Volkswagen Golf – 1028 pcs;
2. Renault Megane – 786 units;
3. Skoda Octavia – 634 units;
4. Volkswagen Passat – 454 units;
5. Nissan Leaf – 447 units;
6. Volkswagen Tiguan – 431 units;
7. Audi Q5 – 374 units;
8. Audi A4 – 323 units;
9. Volkswagen Touran – 305 units;
10. Tesla Model Y – 299 units.

In total, in October 2024, Ukrainian motorists registered about 16.3 thousand used cars.
