What is the movie "U Are the Universe" about?

The plot centers on a former trucker from Ukraine, Andriy Melnyk. After the Earth exploded, he found himself the last person in the universe, so he and his robot friend went to outer space to live their routine lives. One day, a French woman named Catherine got in touch with the man. Then Andriy's journey began to focus on finding that very girl, which required a lot of effort to cross the entire galaxy.

As a reminder, the premiere of the debut film by director Pavlo Ostrikov took place on September 7 at the Toronto International Film Festival. At that time, the film was named one of the best projects in Ukraine in 2024. "U Are the Universe" aroused great emotions among foreign audiences and received a standing ovation after the screening.

According to Ostrikov, only $750,000 was spent on filming the movie, and the process of creation was complicated by the constant shelling of our country. Ukrainians will be able to see the fantastic film in the spring of 2025.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that Russian actor Yuri Borisov was nominated for the American Gotham Awards 2024.
