Ukrainian tried to smuggle a grenade into Hungary: what she faces now. Photo

A 24-year-old Ukrainian woman tried to smuggle an F-1 grenade and a 5.45-caliber cartridge from Ukraine to Hungary. The woman said that her friends in Budapest had "requested" the prohibited items.

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the offender was traveling by car. A border guard sniffer dog helped to find the items in her belongings.

The Ukrainian woman now faces criminal liability under the article "Illegal handling of weapons." The sanction provides for up to seven years in prison.
