Ukrainian biathlon team eliminates four-time European champion from World Cup race
Ukrainian biathlete Artem Pryma will not take part in the World Cup pursuit race, which is currently taking place in the Czech city of Nove Mesto. According to Suspilne.Sport, citing the head coach of the national biathlon team, Yurai Sanitra, the four-time European champion will miss the event.
According to Sanitra, the Ukrainian national team will focus on performances in the individual race (February 14), as well as in the relays (single and classic).
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Pryma finished 60th in the sprint the day before, qualifying for the pursuit race.
We would like to remind you that Artem Pryma had a failed race with a mass start at the 6th stage of the World Cup in Antholz/Anterselva, Italy. The 36-year-old native of Chernihiv was more than 5 minutes behind the winner, finishing in the last, 30th place.
On February 7, at the start of the World Cup, Artem, along with Dmytro Pidruchnyi, Yulia Dzhima and Iryna Petrenko, participated in the mixed relay. Prima started the race, but performed poorly, making two inaccurate shots and dropping the team by 45 seconds at once.
