Two-time Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou has refuted the popular myth of high salaries in Hollywood. According to the movie star, the recognition did not bring him financial stability.
The actor claims that many of his colleagues are underpaid, Deadline writes. Because of this, even at 60, he has to work hard to ensure a decent life.
Despite receiving critical acclaim and awards for his successful films, Hounsou is unable to save and save.
"I've been in this business for more than two decades, I've been nominated for an Oscar twice, I've been in many blockbusters, but I still have financial difficulties. I'm definitely underpaid," the actor was indignant.
