The company plans to launch a space tourism business

Deep Blue, a company based in the eastern province of Jiangsu, has announced that it plans to launch paying customers into suborbital space in 2027. The ticket will cost about 210 thousand US dollars at the current exchange rate.

According to the company, they promise not only a short weightlessness experience for this price. It will be a comprehensive multisensory space journey that will remain in the memory for a lifetime, space.com writes.

"They will feel the immensity and mystery of the universe and see the magnificent landscape beyond the Earth," Deep Blue representatives promise.

The statement also features renders of the Deep Blue suborbital spaceflight system, a reusable rocket and capsule combination similar to Blue Origin's New Shepard that has made eight crewed suborbital flights to date, the last on August 29 this year.

New Shepard can accommodate six passengers. They will experience a few minutes of weightlessness and can see the Earth against the darkness of space during the flight, which lasts 10-12 minutes from launch to landing of the capsule. Deep Blue Aerospace's suborbital missions are likely to be similar.

However, future customers still have to wait a little longer. The company, which was founded in 2017, will spend several more years developing and testing its suborbital space flight system.

"The spacecraft and rocket combination will also undergo dozens of tests in 2026 to ensure the safety and reliability of suborbital manned travel, and will officially begin commercializing suborbital travel in 2027," Deep Blue representatives said.
