Promotions and free offers appeal to everyone. It doesn't matter if you have a limited budget or not as saving money feels like a small victory.

On one of the Italian islands, tourists can spend three nights for free. The Sun talks about this offer in more detail.

Sardinia is one of the most beautiful islands in Italy, known for its amazing beaches and crystal clear turquoise sea. The island attracts thousands of tourists every year, and now it also offers a unique opportunity for those who love adventure and outdoor activities.

Tourists who are willing to tackle one of the island's most famous hiking trails are given three free nights' accommodation. This is an initiative called Leg's go in Cammino, which offers an incredible journey along the picturesque routes of Sardinia for people under 35.

Conditions

The main condition for receiving free accommodation is participation in the historic Santa Barbara mining trail. This route, organized by the Cammino Minerario di Santa Barbara Foundation, allows tourists to see the most beautiful parts of the island. Although it can be a real challenge for many, it is worth the effort. The brave souls will find picturesque landscapes, ancient mines, caves, forests, and waterfalls that will make this trip unforgettable.

To participate in the initiative, you also need to make a small donation to help support the development of the historic trail.

The Santa Barbara route is divided into 16 stages with a total length of about 500 kilometers. It may take about a month to complete it. However, for those who decide to participate, there is an opportunity to stay for three nights free of charge in hotels or tourist destinations in Sardinia. To take advantage of this offer, it is enough to choose one of the three proposed routes on the organization's website.

The program is valid from September 15 until the end of the year.

Routes

Three main routes are offered for the participants of the initiative, each of which offers unique landscapes and local attractions.

Route 301 starts in the city of Portoscuso, known for its tuna fishing. The road leads through the historical sites of Baku Abis, Iglesias and Nebida, revealing picturesque coasts and old mining regions.

The 302 route passes through Buggerru, Portixedda and Pittinuri and finishes in Montevecchio, offering tourists unforgettable landscapes of nature and ancient ruins.

Route 303 starts in the medieval village of Tratalias, continuing through Sant'Antioco, Carbonia and Nuraxi Figus, and ends on the coast in Portoscuso.

If you are unable to complete the full route in Sardinia, the foundation also offers a new seven-day hiking route in the Dolomites. This is a 170-kilometer circular route known as Cammino Retico, which covers ten villages and allows you to visit the untouched corners of nature in northern Italy.
