"This is inspiring": Putin makes a cynical statement about Ukraine in his address to the Federal Assembly and speaks of a "fair fight"

Putin delivers a message to the Federal Assembly

On Thursday, February 29, at 11:00 a.m. Moscow time, Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin delivered a speech to the Federal Assembly. In his speech, the mad dictator expectedly spoke about the war in Ukraine.

The address was broadcast on Russian federal channels. This year, it coincided with the presidential election campaign, so the dictator was particularly generous with his promises to Russians.

Putin's main (most absurd) theses

The dictator has already said how proud he is of the 10th anniversary of the "Russian Spring" and the occupation of Ukrainian Crimea.

"We supported our brothers and sisters, their will to be with Russia. And this year is the 10th anniversary of the legendary 'Russian Spring'," Putin said.

"The vast majority of the Russian people supported the special military operation. People are unwavering in this choice," the dictator said.

"We preserved the unity of the country, did not allow it to be torn apart.

Our homeland is defending its sovereignty and security, and the SVO was supported by the vast majority of our citizens.

We did not start this war in Donbas. But, as I have repeatedly said, we will do everything to end it, to eradicate Nazism. To solve all the tasks of the World War II. To protect the sovereignty and security of our citizens.

In this case, we are dealing with a state whose ruling circles are taking open hostile actions against us. Are they seriously going to discuss strategic stability with us?

The West is trying to draw us into an arms race. Thus repeating the trick of the 1980s.

Russophobia, like other racist ideologies, deprives one of reason. We need to work to build a new security contour for Eurasia. But without a sovereign and strong Russia, no world order is possible.

There are problems in the army, but there is an understanding of how to solve them, and work is going on continuously at the front and in the rear.

Sarmat ballistic missiles have been delivered to the troops, and we will soon demonstrate them.

The Zirkon sea-based hypersonic strike system has already been used in combat, and it is already in service.

Before the meeting, Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin leader would make important statements for the country.

"This can largely be considered an election program," he emphasized.

The spokesman also added that Putin's speech will have an international part, but he will focus on "sovereigntization." According to Peskov, the message will last more than an hour.

Earlier, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Andrii Yusov, said on the air of a national telethon that Putin's address should not be expected to be "very new."

"He has already told us his ideas about Russian, Ukrainian, and world history. There will be no news. Just another lie. Another propaganda. Work to continue zombifying his audience and maintain the remnants of the image of the same farce that is the election. Conceptually, it is difficult to imagine something very new," the Ukrainian intelligence official said.

As reported by OBOZ.UA:

– The State Duma of the Russian Federation reported that Moscow is carefully considering all appeals of the "Congress of Deputies of Transnistria". Consultations will be held with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on this issue.

– British intelligence has reported that the full-scale war that Russia has unleashed against Ukraine has affected its relations with other countries. Russia has lost influence over neighboring countries from the former Soviet Union, and it is no longer considered a guarantor of regional security but is now perceived as a threat to itself.
