Former Russian national footballer Diniyar Bilyaletdinov has spoken out against sports organizations that refuse to allow representatives of the Russian Federation to participate in their competitions. Bilyaletdinov said this in an interview with RBC Sport. The former Lokomotiv Moscow and Everton defender, who received a mobilization call last year and called it "some kind of mistake," called the organizations non-self-sufficient and the decision against the Russians politicized.

"You can draw three dogs: a bigger one for the IOC, a smaller one for FIFA, and an even smaller one for UEFA: they are standing on their hind legs, and they are being told how to serve and what to bark about. They look at the owner with their eyes: "What do you want, master?" and a piece of meat is held in front of the dog's nose. That's how they try. It seems to me that it was all thought out. It was a deliberate decision to allow young men to perform and to ban them in order to get a younger generation that has already tasted all this. It's their choice, their methods, in the language of the yard - another prank. This is not news to me," Bilyaletdinov said.
