Experts have named the worst inexpensive crossovers that can be bought new in 2024. That is, they do not recommend buying them at all - these two models turned out to be disappointing. Many of their rivals are much better.

The unsuccessful crossovers were named by What Car. The authors of the tests did not like the Ford Ecosport and Jeep Renegade models. Why do they not recommend buying these cars?

Ford Ecosport

This compact crossover is outdated, but Ford continues to sell it in some markets. It is criticized for its handling, unpleasant ride, and cramped interior. And the trunk is inconvenient to use because of the doors that open sideways.

Jeep Renegade

This is the cheapest Jeep crossover. Other advantages of the model include a spacious interior and off-road potential. But among the disadvantages are the high price compared to rivals, poor ride and disappointing build quality.

Instead of these cars, it is advised to buy Lexus LBX, Volkswagen T-Roc, Ford Puma, Smart #1, Range Rover Evoque, Skoda Karoq, Volkswagen Taigo, Skoda Kamiq, Volkswagen T-Cross, Audi Q2.

All these cars can be bought new today. They are economical, practical, inexpensive to maintain, very comfortable for everyday driving, and quite reliable.
