Mobile operator Vodafone does not have and does not plan to introduce preferential tariffs for low-income groups. In response to numerous inquiries from subscribers, the company said it was forced to increase production costs and purchase additional equipment.

Vodafone announced this in response to customer comments on its Facebook page. In particular, one user asked about the lack of special offers for subscribers who have been using the operator's services for years.

"Offers, promotions, discounts or gifts are generated by the system automatically and randomly, not manually by operators or anyone else, regardless of the subscriber's tariff, age, number of recharges, and how old the number is," the company replied. Vodafone offers to inform subscribers about such offers via SMS.

The operator also rejected a proposal to introduce a special lower cost tariff that would not include the Internet."Our expenses for network maintenance and development have increased. This is due to increased costs for fuel, electricity, and the purchase of additional equipment needed to maintain the network in the difficult conditions of war," the company said.

Why Vodafone does not have preferential tariffs

Vodafone has increased its current tariffs as electricity prices for residential and industrial consumers increased in 2024, the mobile operator reminded. The cost of the services provided has also increased, as the equipment required for this is powered by the grid.

"Most companies in the telecommunications industry have faced a similar situation, and Vodafone is no exception. That's why we had to raise our tariffs. However, we always offer various services to save money," the company assured.

Why Vodafone tariffs have risen in price
