World No. 1 Yannick Sinner proposed to Anna Kalinskaya, reports Corriere dello Sport, citing the Italian weekly DiPiu. This event took place at a party in New York (USA). The girl said yes.

The 25-year-old Italian and the 22-year-old Russian tennis player announced their relationship in May this year, two months after the end of Roland Garros.

Then, after a grass-court Grand Slam tournament, Sinner and Kalinskaya were spotted together in the popular Italian resort of Porto Cervo, in Sardinia.

Anna Kalynska lives and trains in the United States, in Miami. Anna's father, Nikolai Dmitrievich, is the head of the Russian national badminton team, a former badminton player and a master of sports of the USSR. The tennis player's mother was also a badminton player and later worked as a children's coach. Her brother Nikolai is a football player, a midfielder for Nizhny Novgorod.

Before Sinner, Anna dated Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios.

Kalinska is a winner of three WTA tournaments in doubles; a finalist of one junior Grand Slam in singles (French Open 2015); a winner of one junior Grand Slam in doubles (Australian Open 2016).

In 2015 in the United States, she was able to reach the final of the Junior Grand Slam in doubles. She is a former world number three in the junior rankings.

Her best achievement in her adult career was reaching the quarterfinals of the Australian Open in 2023. In 2022 and 2024, she was able to reach the second round of Roland Garros. Her top performance at Wimbledon took place in 2021 (also the 2nd round).
